Italian Language Courses
The knowledge of the Italian language is very important, not only for the full comprehension of lessons and visits, but also for everyday living in Florence.
The Garden Design School offers it foreign students the possibility to attend Italian language classes during their stay in Florence at the same time they follow their garden design courses. Lessons can either be individual or in groups.
To ensure best results, the maximum number of students in class is 12.
Group courses, organised in six levels, from beginner (A1) to proficiency (C2), are held all year round from Monay to Friday and can last from 2 to 24 weeks. Standard and specialisation courses take place 4 hours a day, 20 hours a week.
The levels are:
Beginner (A1): Basic Italian for everyday use. |

Elementary (A2): Good understanding and communicationin the Italian language. |

Intermediate (B1): You can affront everyday situations |
with confidence. |

Advanced (B2): Your communication in the Italian |
language becomes more refined |

Superior (C1): Good use of the language and a wide |

Proficiency (C2): You can use the the language with |
ease and elegance. |

There is also a specialisation course for those who already speak the language fluently but who wish to take their studies a step further.
The individual Italian language courses are much more flexible and are offered in four different modalities, from full-day courses, to hal-day.

A placement test in the first day will make sure you are assigned to the right level.
At the end of the course the student receives an attendance certificate.
